ADP Reports That Midsize Businesses Are Hiring Again
Post Views 0On Wednesday ADP released their National Employment Report. Midsize businesses hired 9,000 new employees last month. That is the first increase in employment for businesses with 50 to 499 employees in two years. Overall the economy lost 22,000 jobs between December and January, but it is the smallest loss since February 2008. The ADP report is based on private payroll data. On Friday, the US Labor Department with release official unemployment figures for January.
Midsize businesses are still struggling despite the increase in jobs. These businesses have lost 3.2 million jobs since the economic crisis began. Nationwide these companies employ more than 42 million Americans.
