Senvoy LLC Laying Off 196 Workers in August

Portland-based delivery company Senvoy LLC is slated to lay off 196 workers beginning August 8, the Portland Business Journal is reporting.

According to a WARN notice filed with the Department of Community Colleges Workforce Development, Senvoy will outsource all delivery services to a third-party provider and as a result means the company is losing “all or substantially all of it employees.”

According to the Business Journal, the cuts involve 192 drivers and four bike messengers.

Senvoy was founded in 1999 and had 350 employees in five Western states at the end of 2008. The company specializes in expedited delivery services, which includes large freight and small packages, Business Journal reports.
