Over 10,000 new jobs to be created by 10 companies in Michigan

michiganflag_160x120According to Michigan Local News, Governor Jennifer M. Granholm announced the support of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation for 10 companies and 3 brownfield redevelopment projects that are looking to invest in the state of Michigan due to Michigan’s “competitive business climate, skilled workforce and strong public-private partnerships.” Granholm said the state will give tax incentives to perpetuate the expansion of the 13 businesses. 10,884 jobs are expected to be provided by these 13 projects for the state of Michigan. The projects approved by the Michigan Economic Growth Authority board include Detroit Diesel, Fisher & Company Inc., Gordon Food Service Inc., Grand River Interactive Inc., NanoBio Corporation, National Logistics Management Co., Nexcess.net LLC, SPX Corporation, WABCO North America LLC, Federal Building Partners LLC, Ford Motor Company, and City of Alpena. Together the companies will be investing over $382.5 million.
