In wake of the budget crunch this year, the governing body of North Arlington, New Jersey voted to get the layoff plan certified by the Civil service commission of the state which if approved will get the body take required steps if layoff plan was implemented. Eight public employees are facing a possible dismissal which will help government make more than $500,000 required to get under the state mandated two percent cap. A final decision on the North Arlington layoff plan is expected in the month of August.
