Costa Mesa’s City Council Loses Appeal to Remove Layoff Injunction

An injunction that prohibited the city from outsourcing employee performed work to private companies will remain. The three judge panel rejected the 43 page writ petition of City Council of  Costa Mesa. The city council says that  their appeal stems from the fact that the city has a heavy burden of pension obligations and says the ruling was unconstitutional and premature.
