The economy has really been struggling in these past few years. However, employment is starting to be effected in private sectors. Wisconsin is seeing a major fall in private sector employment and it is not looking good for the future.

Private sector jobs are a little different than public because most private jobs are funded by private businesses. Unfortunately, in Wisconsin alone they lost more than 900 private jobs. This is a huge number for one state to lose because more areas will start being effected.  Employment services in areas like teaching, law enforcement and various other “public figure” jobs are continuing to be effected because the loss in private, public and government jobs.

“Private sector employment fell in September in Wisconsin for the third consecutive month, even as the unemployment rate improved slightly, according to the latest report released today by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.”

This is such a sad time for employees who continue to lose work and have trouble finding more employment.  The numbers keep moving in a downward spiral and show no hope for improvement. The government portion of Wisconsin is also losing jobs left and right and is showing an overall job loss of about 11,700. That is a tough pill to swallow and many citizens are not taking it well.

“The unemployment rate in January, when Gov. Scott Walker took office with a promise to create 250,000 new jobs in the next four years, was 7.4 percent.”

Governor Walker has vowed to help get the people of Wisconsin back to work. This is not a one-man-job and it will take a lot of work to see an improvement in the private and government sections of employment. Hopefully, overtime these areas will get more funding and start creating more jobs.

If you are someone in Wisconsin who is looking for a job, then be sure to check out the state’s website www.jobcenterofwisconsin.com. This particular website will allow you to search and fill out information right online. This is hopefully going to “expedite” this hiring process for some job positions in Wisconsin and get people back to work.

One government employee states – “This will help us determine their job skills and expedite their job search,” he said. “We can match their skills to available jobs, alert them to openings and connect them with employers. We urge all job seekers to explore the job opportunities on our site.”

Wisconsin has the right attitude about the whole employment situation. The governor was elected to do a job and he is continuing to move in the right direction. The leadership he is expressing is only going to move the state into a better unemployment situation. All state employees are being proactive about the situation and helping to make positive changes to the unemployment strain on the state’s economy.
