Beale Air Force Base Faces Potential Job Losses

The new Pentagon budget calls for 741 in job losses at a Sacramento air base. This represents 16 percent of the 4,000 employees. The bulk of the loss will be from losing the Global Hawk spy aircraft program. The Air Force reminds the public that this is only a proposal and that the numbers could change. Despite this being only preliminary numbers, this proposed budget has caused concern, including Rep. Wally Herger who represents the area.
