Guardian’s Version of The Three Little Pigs & the Big Bad Wolf

British newspaper Guardian is known for its hard hitting news stories and its left-leaning stand on most issues. But newspapers on both sides of the ideological spectrum and on both sides of the Atlantic are suffering from declining sales and revenue. Guardian has come up with a new slant on the old children’s story of the three little pigs and the big bad wolf.

In the live-action ad, Guardian shows what would have happened if the events of the story took place today. A lengthy police investigation of the “crime scene” i.e. the pigs’ house where the wolf was killed, some people supporting them as being victims of a home invasion and some calling them murderers.

The pigs are put on trial. Other news sites manage to portray the wolf as an asthma patient incapable of blowing down the houses but the Guardian is able to find out the truth. In the end, the trial even manages to link the homicide/ self-defense to the mortgage crisis in the country.
