Bangladesh: Allowing Unions for Garment Workers

The government of Bangladesh has agreed on trade unions to be set up by garment workers without prior notice to the factory owners. The government has also raised the lowest wage of garment workers. These measures have been taken after an 8-story multiple garment factory building has collapsed on April 24th 2013.
