DTE Energy Modernizing Michigan Plant
Post Views 1DTE Energy is upgrading it’s plant in Monroe, Michigan, investing $900 million in two projects that will bring as many as 900 construction jobs to the region over the next few years. The first project, scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2010 will add scrubbers to the coal burning plant, cutting sulfur dioxide emissions by 97%. Once completed, the company will construct a selective catalytic reduction system that will reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by about 90%.
