Washington State Receives $6 Million for Green Jobs
Post Views 0Washington State will receive $6 million in federal stimulus money to develop clean energy jobs. The new funds will go to the Washington State Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board. The funds will provide training for 4,700 people across the state. Grants are targeted to people with disabilities, veterans and workers who have been laid off. Training includes energy management and auditing. Senator Patty Murray called the announcement, “wonderful news”. She is confident that those who receive the training will find jobs. The Washington State Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board provide job training for teens and adults throughout Washington State.
