Wells Fargo Adding 50 Jobs in Silicon Valley
Post Views 0San Francisco-based Wells Fargo & Co. expects to hire 50 people in nearby Santa Clara County, the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal reports.
The financial company plans to add 40 bankers and 10 tellers, which would add to the more than 2,000 employees in 62 offices in the Silicon Valley.
Ken Jones, Wells Fargo’s Santa Clara Valley regional president, announced the move in a press release.
“We’re seeking candidates who have a passion for exceeding customer expectations and interested in building a career at Wells Fargo,” Jones said.
As noted by the Business Journal, Wells Fargo has more than 19,000 employees in the Bay Area. Two years ago the company laid off 201 administrative workers when it closed two bank offices of Greater Bay Bancrop, which was acquired by Wells Fargo in October 2007.
