With the increase in manufacturing and other industries there is increasing demand for the logistic managers for every company for smooth functioning of the materials activities for the working of the organizations. There are various employment opportunities in this sector. Following are some of the careers and logistics employment opportunities in this sector.

1. Store keeper. A store keeper is responsible for all the materials that are to be delivered to the production department of the organization. A graduate degree in commerce with a little experience can help a lot in getting these types of warehousing jobs.

2. Logistic manager. A logistic manager has the responsibility of coordinating with all the departments within the organization from store managers to production and from production to distribution and marketing. These logistic managers are highly paid and play a very important role in the organization by monitoring the smooth flow of material from stores to production and from production to warehouse for distribution to the final consumers. A person willing to go for these logistics employment opportunities should possess a bachelor’s or masters degree in logistics and management with adequate experience in the field.

3. Warehouse keeper. A warehouse keeper is the person who keeps records of the entire finished product that are to be delivered as per the market demand. A warehouse keeper gives a weekly report on the number of units lying in the warehouse plus the units delivered to the warehouse and the units of goods dispatched from the warehouse. This helps the company in getting a better idea of the stock and the sales in a particular area and the company can adjust its manufacturing and delivery activities accordingly. A bachelor’s degree with little experience can help a person in getting warehousing jobs.

4. Logistic analyzer. The analyzing manager analyses the various movement of the materials and the finished products of the organization and gives the necessary recommendations for change as required to facilitate the smooth working of the manufacturing activities. It also helps to avoid overstocking and under stocking thereby getting optimum utilization of the resources of the company. The job requires a master degree with vast experience in the field of logistics.
