NetApp to Cut 530 Wotkers

NetApp will cut about 6% of its workforce in an effort to reduce costs and manage expenses during the current economic climate.

The firm lost $75 million in 2008, compared with a profit of $102 million in 2007.

NetApp said it will cut about about 530 jobs.

NetApp, formerly Network Appliance, is a proprietary computer storage and data management company headquartered in Sunnyvale, California. It is a member of the NASDAQ-100, and ranks as the number one place to work on the Fortune 1000.
