Apple Computer Lays Off 50 Salespeople

Cupertino, California’s Apple has laid off 50 salespeople in its enterprise group.

Apple is also expected to be soon announcing a new, larger 10″ iPod Touch, which is being compared to the computer firm’s defunct Newton PDA. Rumor says Apple has purchased 10″ touchscreens from a Taiwanese manufacturer.

The device is likely designed to compete with Amazon’s Kindle.

The company’s best-known hardware products include Macintosh computers, the iPod and the iPhone. The company operates more than 250 retail stores in nine countries, and an online store.
