Health Care Jobs Will Not Be Resurrected

Over 80 white collars at Chicago’s Resurrection Health Care have been eliminated.

Resurrection, which operates eight hospitals in Chicago and adjacent suburbs, says 125 management, ambulatory services and support positions will be eliminated. Eighty-one employees have been laid off, and an additional 44 vacant positions will not be filled.

The hospital system has seen decline in patients interested in elective procedures, and an increase in those who are unable to pay their medical bills.
