Performance Energy Services Adds 350 Jobs

Performance Energy Services, which services offshore petroleum structures, says it will create 350 new jobs with a $26 million expansion of its yard at the Port of Terrebonne in Louisiana.

The jobs will be created over the next five years, with an average salary of more than $55,000 plus benefits. Construction is expected to begin in Q3 of 2009, with completion scheduled for the 2Q 2010.

The company currently employs 800 workers.

The company has applied for two state programs to help finance the project.
