Florida County May Cut 40 School Jobs
Post Views 0The Lake County, Florida school district may eliminate 40 district-level positions to save about $2 million next school year.
Recently the School Board downgraded several district administrators’ titles and cut salaries to save $18,000.
The School Board will vote later on whether to slash the 40 positions, only seven of which are vacant. Eliminating the seven vacant positions would save more than $215,000.
Terminations will be based partly on seniority.
