Rutgers to Cut Staff, Raise Tuitions

New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine plans to cut the state’s contribution to the university’s budget by $15.5 million.
The university also plans to leave critical staff positions unfilled, cut courses and support services, and delay major projects.
Rutgers University, aka Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is the largest institution for higher education in New Jersey. It was originally chartered as Queen’s College in 1766, and is the eighth oldest college in the United States.
