Oklahoma State University Lab May Get Job Creation Incentive

UMLUniversity Multispectral Laboratories, a research facility owned by the Oklahoma State University and operated by Triton Scientific, may receive a tax incentive to create new jobs.

The Ponca City facility currently employs 46 people. State legislators have introduced a bill designed to facilitate the creation of new jobs as the lab spins off new private companies based on its discoveries.

The lab has already received both state and local funding.

OSU University Multispectral Laboratories, or UML, is a national center for research, development, evaluation, training, and certification established as a government-owned, contractor-operated facility and organized as a non-profit limited liability corporation.
