Louisiana State University Health SystemThe Louisiana State University Health System will eliminate over 300 jobs at the Interim LSU Public Hospital in New Orleans.

A study, prepared by Atlanta-based consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal, actually recommended cutting 659 full time positions to save $66 million.

The Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center New Orleans is located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Due to Hurricane Katrina, the School of Dentistry was temporarily located in Baton Rouge. It resumed operations in New Orleans in September 2007.
