Texas Lost 40,000 Jobs in April

The state unemployment rate held steady at 6.7%. The US jobless rate was 8.9%.
Texas has lost 197,000 jobs so far in 2009.
Professional and business services lost 20,100 jobs in April; trade, transportation and utilities lost 15,400 jobs.
