RTRP Created 110,000 North Carolina Jobs Over Last 5 Years

The Research Triangle Regional Partnership has helped create 110,224 jobs over the last five years, according to the Employment Security Commission of North Carolina.

The Research Triangle is an eight-county region in the Piedmont of North Carolina in the United States, anchored by the cities of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.

Employment increased in 12 of the 13 RTRP counties. Wake County gained 67,681 jobs; Durham 14,258; Johnston 9,214 and Orange 5,633.

Over the next five years, the partnership aims to help create North Carolina jobs in video games and e-learning, green tech, and defense technology.
