chrysler_160x120Some of the several hundred workers laid off from a Chrysler-owned Jeep assembly plant in Toledo, Ohio have returned to work this week, after an extended shutdown triggered by the Chrysler bankruptcy.

Several dozen workers are back at the plant, preparing for the resumption next week of two shifts producing Jeep Wranglers. The Jeep Liberty and Dodge Nitro lines will resume at the end of July.

Many Chrysler plant managers and workers have been retrained by Fiat, which purchased the troubled Big Three automaker.
