Chrysler Financial Closing Kansas Office, Laying Off 240

Chrysler Financial will shut down its Overland Park, Kansas customer service center in August, cutting 240 jobs.

The firm is cutting 350 from its 3,900 strong workforce. Work from the Overland Park location will go to facilities in Philadelphia and Dallas.

Farmington Hills, Michigan’s Chrysler Financial is the financial services provider of automaker Chrysler. As part of a major restructuring effort, Chrysler, Fiat, the United Auto Workers, and the United States and Canadian governments have agreed to merge Chrysler Financial into GMAC.
