Indiana’s Altec Shutting Down, Laying Off 64
Post Views 0Altec LLC of Fort Wayne, Indiana is going out of business, putting its 64 employees on the street by the end of October.
The firm manufactures aerial-lift platforms, such as the bucket trucks used to repair power lines.
Formerly called Lift-All, the firm was purchased by Alabama’s Altec in December 2008.
Birmingham, Alabama-based Altec is the holding company for a global manufacturer of aerial lifts, digger derricks, truck-mounted cranes and specialty equipment for the electric utility, telecom and contractor industries.
