federalbureauprisons_160x12The Federal Bureau of Prisons says the agency has hired 49 employees for the federal prison in Hazelton, West Virginia.

The facility, in Preston County, still has 15 vacancies.

Over the next year two new prisons will open in the state, creating 600 jobs. The new positions will include guards, medical professional, human resources experts, construction workers, food service workers and clergy.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons is a federal law enforcement agency subdivision of the United States Department of Justice, and is responsible for the administration of the federal prison system.
