Power-One Cuts 300 Jobs

Power-One has eliminated 300 jobs, or 6.6% of its workforce, including 10 at its Camarillo, California headquarters.

Most of the cuts were made in China, the Dominican Republic and Slovakia.

The firm laid off 1,000 in January. After the latest cuts, it employs 3,200, mostly abroad.

Founded in 1973, Power-One designs and manufactures power conversion and power management products for communications equipment, including routers, data storage and servers.
