The fire department has notified those who may be let go. The choices were based on seniority.

Fire officials are worried that the cutbacks would affect emergency response times.

Colorado Springs is a Home Rule Municipality that is the county seat and most populous city of El Paso County, Colorado. With an estimated population of 380,307 in 2008, it is the second most populous city in the state of Colorado, and the 48th most populous city in the US.
