Murray Energy Digs Up 130 Illinois Jobs

Murray Energy has launched a new subsidiary, American Equipment & Machine, bringing over 100 jobs to Centralia, Illinois.

The new firm employs 102 people, including 88 hourly workers and 14 managers. It manufactures and repairs coal mining equipment. Thirty-four additional jobs will be created over the next two years.

Founded in 1998, Cleveland, Ohio’s Murray Energy is the largest independent coal producer in the United States.
