Wind Turbine Project in Boulder City to Bring in Jobs

Boulder City, just east of Las Vegas and part of the greater Las Vegas Valley, has inked a deal with Wind Sail Receptor that will bring cheaper energy and lots of jobs to the city. In exchange for the free use of some property, Boulder City will get 1 megawatt of power and the company will locate a production plant nearby that will employ 91 people for starters.

Wind Sail Receptor is working with smaller turbines using different materials that can generate energy from wind speeds as low as 3 mph, in comparison to traditional larger turbines that are only effective at speeds of 12 mph or more.
