Intel, Dell and other Tech Companies Pledge to Hire New Graduates

intel-logo-160Intel Corporation has announced an alliance with other high tech companies including Dell to increase the hiring of new college graduates in the tech field this year. Dell is one of Intel’s top customers. The Invest in America Alliance wants to bolster the United States competitiveness in technology including clean technology, information technology and biotechnology. Intel will join with 24 venture funds to invest $3.5 billion in new tech based companies during the next two years.

A part of this initiative is a commitment to hiring fresh college graduates. Dell predicts it will hire 200 engineering and tech employees in the U.S. this year, an increase of 150 from last year. Dell is also looking to hire graduates with finance and marketing degrees. Other companies involved in hiring more college graduates include Accenture, Adobe Systems Inc., Broadcom Corp, CDW LLC, Cisco Systems, eBay Inc., General Electric, Google, Hewlett-Packard, Liberty Mutual Group, Marvell Semiconductor, Microsoft and Yahoo.
