indianaflag_160x120Tokusen USA Inc., an Arkansas-based wire maker, has announced plans to open a new manufacturing plant in Scottsburg Indiana. The plant should generate 135 jobs over the course of the next two years.

The multi-million dollar investment is aimed at making sawing wire for the solar energy industry.

The company has stated it will begin hiring for the plant immediately, with production expected to begin in August.

Up to $1.1 million has been offered by the Indiana Economic Development Corp. in the form of performance-based tax credits. Training grants in the amount of $75,000 and property tax abatement have been offered as well.
