getlogo.ashx.jpegEmployees at Automated Health Systems are bracing themselves for the closing of the firm’s facilities in Milwaukee and Madison, which will result in 160 layoffs.

AHS will layoff 38 employees at its Milwaukee facility, located at 6091 N. Teutonia Ave., and a whopping 122 employees at two separate locations in Madison.

The firm filed a mass layoff notice with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development on July 29th.

AHS cited in the filing that the layoffs were due in part to an amendment made to a contract, which states that the firm will no longer provide application processing services to the Wisconsin Enrollment Services Center project.

Management at the firm says it has been given assurances from Hewlett Packard that the tech giant, which will now be providing the application processing services for the project, will hire all 160 employees effected by the cuts.
