jpmorganchase_160x120On September 9th, a job fair will be held in downtown Phoenix, Arizona by Chase Bank.  Looking for employees for their Tempe offices, the bank is hoping to hire 125 to 150 new, full-time workers.

Chase Manhattan Bank merged with J.P. Morgan & Co. to form JP Morgan Chase in 2000, though Chase’s history can be followed all the way back to 1799 and Aaron Burr’s founding of The Manhattan Company.  Today, JP Morgan Chase operates in over 60 countries and employs over 200,000 people worldwide.  With assets upwards of $2 trillion, JP Morgan Chase has been opening branches across the United States even in these economic times.

In July of 2010, JP Morgan Chase opened 22 new branches in Albertsons supermarket chain in California with plans to open nearly 90 overall in the state.  Early in August, Chase also opened its first “green” branch in Denver, Colorado, the first bank in the state to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design or LEED certification.

The bank is looking for an assortment of positions for their Tempe locations.  Among them are underwriters who are charged with reviewing loan applications.  Personal bankers who acquire and maintain close relationships with customers are also in demand.  Chase is also looking to hire a few managers for the Tempe offices.  The job fair will be held at the Chase Tower in Phoenix at 11:00 am.
