Willis Group Holdings Announces Celia Brown as New HR Executive VP

handshakeCelia Brown has been appointed the new Executive Vice President, Group Human Resources Director of Willis Group Holdings. Brown will start immediately, reporting to Tim Wright, the Chief Operating Officer of Willis Group, working in New York. She will be responsible for driving the development of Willis Group Holdings’s global HR function and delivering top-notch strategic HR support for the company.

Willis Group Holdings, the insurance broker based out of London, United Kingdom, is represented in over 120 countries with more than 400 offices with some 17,000 employees. Willis Group Holdings has, as of June 2010, the third-highest insurance brokerage revenues worldwide. The company provides risk management, reinsurance, professional insurance, financial and human resource consulting and actuarial services to institutions, public entities, and corporations around the world.

Brown worked as an executive for financial services company XL Group and its forerunner NAC Re Corp for more than 20 years. She worked as Head of Global HR and Corporate Relations from 2006 to 2009. Between XL and Willis, Brown created her own independent management consultancy, which provided human resource services for individual, corporate, and non-profit clients.
