VW Plant in Chattanooga Hires 120
Post Views 0VW is continuing to grow the number of workers employed at their Chattanooga plant, announcing the addition of another 120 workers.
The $1 billion plant has a new midsize sedan in production that will be unveiled at the Detroit auto show in January.
“We want to make really sure it has excellent quality,” says Chief executive of VW’s Chattanooga operations, Frank Fischer.
Mayor Ron Littlefield is pleased with the growth the plant has experienced, commenting, “It’s just getting bigger and better.” The $577 million in incentives that were given to VW just a few years ago continue to pay dividends for the local economy.
