amway_logo Over 74 new jobs are coming to Ada Township, Michigan as Amway Corp., a global direct sales company, announced its 20-million expansion plan in the area. Amway said that the company will boost its manufacturing capacity by extending its manufacturing headquarters on Fulton Street, adding about 55 square feet to allow the company to accommodate protein drink powder equipment and renovating the warehouse space to make it production headquarters. By 2012, Amway will move operations from one of its plants in California to Michigan, which is projected to generate 74 new jobs. The company is awaiting the state to approve the IDD request and the corresponding tax abatements.

Through the tax exemption, the company could save an estimated amount of $190,000 in property taxes for the first year alone.
