The American Advertising Federation is planning to induct Jack Connors into its Advertising Hall of Fame.  Connors is the founder and chairman of Hill Holliday, a very successful ad agency.  The induction ceremony will take place in New York City at the Waldorf Astoria.

Hill Holliday, which is one of the biggest ad agencies in Boston, was launched in 1968 by Connors, along with partners Jay Hill, Alan Holliday, and Steve Cosmopulos.

A statement from the American Advertising Federation said the following: “Connors was the driving force in making Hill Holliday a nationally recognized advertising agency that produced internationally acclaimed creative work and is one of Boston’s most successful businesses.”

The CEO of Hill Holliday, Mike Sheehan, said in a statement, “This is the highest honor we have in the advertising industry and we’re incredibly proud that Jack is the first from New England to be elected…Jack’s impact and contribution to the advertising industry and business community is unparalleled.”

The event, which will take place on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, will also honor six other advertising executives selected from around the country.
