Bond Experts Worried about how Debt Ceiling Will Affect Them

Seven bond market experts give their take on the likelihood of raising America’s debt ceiling this summer and the effects that may have on the bond market. They all believe that the debt ceiling will be raised above the current $14.3 trillion limit by the deadline of August 2, 2011. However, politicians’ current comments and actions are contributing to market uncertainty, especially since the congressional 2008 vote to initially reject the $700 billion bailout (TARP) that resulted in a one-day 7% loss for stocks.
