According to Mitt Romney, Republican presidential candidate, the lawsuit filed by the National Labor Relations Board against Boeing could stifle jobs in Alcoa in Iowa, which provides materials for the airline manufacturer’s 787 Dreamliner. If allowed to stand, the Boeing decision in South Carolina, will result in American job losses in Iowa as well as other states. Obama plans to visit an Alcoa plant on Tuesday, to tout jobs that the manufacturer has added in recent months. Mike Belwood, Alcoa spoksman, said the labor board’s battle with the Boeing over the South Carolina plant will not have an impact on employment.
