California Governer forbids state job posting bill
Post Views 0In spite of unanimous support in both the house and the senate, California Governor Jerry Brown vetoed Assembly Bill 1395. This bill according to supporters would have helped laid off state workers by requiring all job vacancies post on the State Personnel Board’s website. The objections from the Governor were threefold: erroneous placement of unqualified workers, delay future lay offs, and potentially reduce the savings from future employee reductions.
