BLS Releases Workplace Fatalities Data
Post Views 0Based on the report of Bureau of Labor Statistics workplace fatalities stood at 4,547. It is slightly less than 4,551 fatal injuries recorded in 2009 and is the lowest since the BLS began in recording this statistics in 1992. Workplace homicides also fell down 7 percent from 2009 to 506 in last year. It is found that the common causes of workplace injuries are due to transportation accidents, violent attacks and assaults, and contact with objects and equipments.
