Demmer Corporation Boasts new HRMS Program that Saves Time

A manufacturing corporation based out of Michigan is claiming that it saves close to 15 hours per week in tracking and reporting employee information because of the implementation of a new program. That new program is known as the Sage HRMS, which is a brand new HR system, as well as the Org Plus Professional, which is an add-on module.

The company based in Michigan is the Demmer Corporation and its sudden growth over the past year and a half forced the company to find an automated HR system. The company use to employ manual HR processes that were actually working very well but as the company grew, the manual processes were not culpable any longer. “We needed an automated HRMS system to keep up with our extreme growth,” says Rebecca Stone, HR Manager.

The Demmer Corporation did not keep any electronic data for its employees’ history for seven business units prior to purchasing Sage HRMS. The files on the employees took 10 hours per week to maintain, retrieve, and manage. Demmer Corporation had no system to capture and send information from one department to another if an employee was transferred or promoted within the organization.

The human resources director for Demmer Corporation, Donna Graham, decided to contact Arlie Skory of the WAC Consulting Group Partner. The two discussed the business requirements in an effort to streamline and automate an employee tracking and reporting process. Demmer Corporation selected Sage HRMS after Arlie’s recommendations and quite a bit of evaluations of other HRMS systems available today. The program used to be known as Sage Abra HRMS. The company also purchased the add-on OrgPlus Professional because of the flexibility, ease of use, and scalability the program offers its users.

Demmer Corporation is now keeping better track of employee training records and has better compliancy during audits ever since the implementation of the new HR system. “In the past when we were audited by different registrars to review our employee training, we couldn’t just run a report; we had to pull files and show certificates,” said Rebecca Stone.

The Demmer Corporation got an excellent investment in OrgPlus Professional, Sage HRMS add-on, because the two systems work in tandem to update records such as the Org Chart. Should there be any incorrect information in the Org Chart, it will be very easy for HR staffers to find the error in the system and then fix that information. This allows the company to keep data in the system error-free, which makes life a whole lot easier for HR personnel in the company.
