Russian Oligarchs Footing 2014 Sochi Olympics

The 2014 Olympics to be held in Sochi, Russia are going to be somewhat different than most of the previous Olympic games. Usually, a city that is chosen to host the game derives funds from the public, but in Sochi, most of the financing is coming from state-controlled companies and private tycoons. So far, with a $51 billion bill, the 2014 winter games are the most expensive ones ever, including the 2008 Summer games held in Beijing, which cost $40 billion.
