Double-Dip Recession in Britain Revised Away
Post Views 0Against recent predictions, economists now state that the United Kingdom did not undergo a dreaded “double-dip” recession recently. A revision of economic data revealed that although the UK did not undergo two recessions, its overall economic situation remains depressing. Rather than undergo a contraction (as is required of a recession), the UK’s economy has merely stayed completely flat for several consecutive quarters. This still does not meet the growth that the country truly needs to maintain its economy.
