Post Views 0Ford Motor Company, one of the beleaguered “Big Three” automakers, will spend $550 million to upgrade a plant in Wayne, Michigan to manufacture compact and electric cars.
The automaker says the plant conversion will create 3,200 jobs.
The facility will manufacture the compant Ford Focus, and batteries for the electric Focus. The new cars will start production in 2010.
