SAIC Consolidation Will Bring 200 Jobs to Dayton
Post Views 0Science Applications International Corporation, a defense contractor based in Virginia, is consolidating several of its operations in the Dayton areas in a plan that will bring slightly over 200 jobs to Ohio. SAIC’s Dayton headquarters supports Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the Air Force’s increased focus on unmanned aerial system (UAS) research was a large factor in the company’s decision to consolidate near the base.
Under the consolidation plan, existing facilities in Beavercreek and Springfield will be expanded, with assistance from state provided tax credits. The Dayton area jobs will either be local hires or jobs moved from Virginia, according to the company. The hiring will focus on engineers, scientists, computer programmers and technicians.
