BYOD – Policy to Handle the Tricky New Trend

Allowing employees to bring in their own devices to do company work on can be a very smart idea. It is likely that they will be more familiar and comfortable with the device, so are able to work more effectively with it. However, there are dangers in allowing this, such as potential liablilty problems should things be damaged and the potential for misuse. However, instituting a BYOD (bring your own device) policy should help to circumvent these problems.
