Daimler AG to Open Michigan Hybrid Research Center
Post Views 0Mercedes-Benz manufacturer Daimler AG is accepting a state tax break to build a $10 million research center in Washtenaw County to develop hybrid vehicles.
The Michigan Economic Growth Authority approved a $7.5 million tax credit for a research & development center near Ann Arbor. The center will employ 223, mostly engineers and technicians.
State officials say the facility will generate 454 jobs and produce $16.2 million in tax revenue by 2019.
